Rules
Welcome to the Dreamcraft Network rules page!
These rules keep the Dreamcraft Network Minecraft server fun and fair for
everyone. Click the tabs above to read each section - by playing on the
server you agree to follow all of them.
Not reading the rules is not an excuse for breaking them. Staff have the
final say in situations the rules don't cover exactly.
If you see someone breaking the rules, report them on the forum or message
a staff member. Don't take it into your own hands.
• No spam: repeated messages, excessive caps, character spam, or flooding.
• No swearing at or about other players. Mild language that isn't aimed at
anyone is tolerated, but staff can ask you to tone it down.
• No arguing or drama in public chat. Take disputes to private messages or
to staff.
• No politics, religion, or other heated real-world topics in public chat.
• No begging for items, ranks, or staff positions. Ranks are earned, never
handed out from asking.
• No spoiling events, drops, or secrets for other players on purpose.
• No links in chat except official Dreamcraft Network links. Never post
IP addresses or invite links for other servers.
• Be respectful to everyone. No racism, sexism, homophobia, hate speech,
slurs, or discrimination of any kind. Zero tolerance.
• No harassment, bullying, threats, or targeting another player, in game
or on the website.
• Keep it family friendly. No NSFW or inappropriate content, builds,
skins, names, or signs.
• No advertising other servers, websites, Discords, or social media.
• No sharing anyone's personal information (doxxing), and don't ask for
it.
• No cheating: hacked clients, x-ray, autoclickers, macros, or any mod
that gives an unfair advantage. Cosmetic or performance mods (like
OptiFine) are fine.
• No exploiting bugs, glitches, or duplication methods. Report them to
staff instead - reports are rewarded, abuse is punished.
• No griefing: destroying, stealing from, or altering other players'
builds or claims without permission.
• No killing players outside of agreed PvP, and no trapping or spawn
killing.
• No scamming in trades, shops, or auctions. Trades are final once both
sides agree, so trade carefully.
• No lag machines, intentionally crashing the server, or builds designed
to hurt server performance.
• Listen to staff. If you're asked to stop something, stop - appeal later
instead of arguing.
• No ban evasion or using alt accounts to get around a punishment.
Alternate accounts are allowed for [AFK farms / your rule here] only.
• Your account is your responsibility. "My brother did it" is not a
defense.
Staff decide punishments based on the rule broken, how serious it was, and
whether it's a repeat offense. Warnings come first for minor issues, but
severe rules (cheating, doxxing, hate speech) skip straight to a ban.
• Spam, mild chat issues: warning, then mute (10 min to 24 hours)
• Repeated chat offenses: longer mute or temporary ban (1 to 7 days)
• Griefing, stealing, scamming: temporary ban (3 to 14 days) plus rollback
or removal of what was taken
• Cheating, exploiting, duping: ban (14 days to permanent), items removed
• Lag machines or crash attempts: permanent ban
• Hate speech, threats, doxxing: permanent ban, no appeal for severe cases
• Ban evasion: permanent ban on all accounts
APPEALS
Think a punishment was wrong? Appeal on the forum at
[The Link isn't here yet but wait up]. Be honest and patient - appeals with
attitude or lies are denied. Staff may reduce or remove a punishment if
you show you understand what went wrong.
Rules can be updated at any time. Major changes will be announced - it's
your job to check back now and then.
